Anonymous is a near-perfect little adult movie, with a storyline that provides some stimulating thought against a framework of sex scenes tat are provocative enough to be hot and aesthetic enough to glorify and worship the beauty of the female body.
Steve Drake is caught in something of a romantic triangle. His best friend (Jonathan Morgan) is dating a woman (Ashlyn Gere) that Drake wouldn't mind having for his own.
Ashlyn is one of these all-purpose females who can make love, hold down an intelligent conversation, be a buddy and even crack a back to ease a muscle spasm. She does it all and Drake is sorry that he didn't make the first move on her, particularly since he fells Morgan doesn't appreciate Ashlyn enough.
During the course of one of those typical "show me yours, and I'll show you mine" conversations, Gere probes Drake's psyche to discover that he loves anonymous sex —sex where he can pick up a woman, hump her and be through with her without having to expose his frailties and thus set himself up for imminent heartache. Ashlyn wants to know which is better —sex conducted anonymously or with someone you now well.
She teases Drake and finally goads him into having sex with her. Possibly you'd thing that sex between close friend works better, but Drake's character is the type who leans toward self-consciousness with someone he's close to.
Anonymous affords Drake the best acting opportunity he's had in years. Ashlyn appears in three of the film's four sex scenes and each is a stunner for its depth, quality and eroticism. Check out some of the foreplay between Ashlyn and Morgan in their bathtub tryst. It sets the stage for what follows, and Ashlyn's threeway with muscle guys Brick Majors and Rob Savage is as good as any troika. Nikki Dial and Tiffany really are along for a cameo sex scene.
The screenplay by really Hart is well written and relaly puts its ear to the wall of some private feelings and emotions.
Anonymous is top notch along with a killer boxcover.
