It’s not often that an adult film can be viewed both by one’s self and with a loved one, but Steamy Windows works on both counts.  Director Paul Thomas has created a sensual and atmospheric piece that showcases Ashlyn Gere’s talents as a performer and as an actress.

To set the mood, it’s a dark and stormy night when hot-shot lawyer Gere and her lawyer hubby, Steve Drake, move into their dream apartment.  After clawing her way to the top, Gere creams at the thought of being able to look down at all the little people through the apartment’s floor-length window, but her power trip is cut short – along with Drake’s blowjob – when the erotic image of Roxanne Blaze mounting Nick East appears in the glass’ reflection.  The carnal specters then return to give an equally sexual performance in Gere’s bedroom, where Gere delights to learn that Blaze has some very corporal aspects as she tongues Gere to a roaring orgasm.  Orgasms, unfortunately, seem to have a way of making ghosts disappear, and when Gere finds herself alone and very horny, she seeks out the services of Drake and his $260,000 lawyer cock.

By the time Gere has drained Drake of a few thousand dollars, a new host of specters have appeared in the mysterious window, including P.J. Sparxx, Dyanna Lauren, Lacy Rose, Alex Sanders and Brad Armstrong.  Along with Blaze and East, they quickly shed their elegant evening-wear and then their inhibitions.  In their desperate attempt to exorcise the ghostly images from their window, Gere and Drake end up crossing over to the other side and joining in on an orgy highlighted by an all-female daisy chain.

Consistent with the mood and tone of the film, scripter Author Dean wraps thing up quite nicely with a Twilight Zone-esque ending.  On the whole, the technical aspects of this film are superb, especially the specters-in-the-window effect.  The only drawback to this film is that the talents of Sparxx and Rose are wasted in the orgy scene.  Since this film only has four substantial sex scenes, Thomas would’ve been better served if he had added a scene featuring either or both of these stars.  Gere, on the other hand, is utilized to her full potential, and she gives a career performance as a bitchy, materialistic, but at the same time, very voluptuous lawyer.  Although she doesn’t have any actual lines, Blaze is just as successful.  In her three scenes, she shows off more of that all-natural look last seen in Kelly O’Dell.

This compelling film has it all, good story and good sex combined, Gere and Blaze, and a gorgeous boxcover featuring bare-chested Gere peering through a rainy window can only help to increase sales.  Stock in depth.
