Unless the good folks at Homegrown start developing some judicious selection politics in their acquisitions department, this series is going to gain a rep as a perpetual dust collector. Nobody's expecting glamorous performers, breathtaking camera moves or emotionally stirring music. Conversely, bulging fatties, tripod-locked wide angles, wind-tunnel audio tracks, fuzzy focus and radio programming seeping in from elsewhere only exacerbate an honest attempt to capture nasty, sexual encounters.

If you're into body piercing, Vol. 442 may be appealing. Cheyenne, with nipple ring & tattoo, performs a sort of backwards crab fuck but the action wanders out of frame. Fortunately, the guy detaches himself long enough to zoom in for an anal penetration shot and a facial. Tim Lake appears in the best sequence; a stimulating forest romp with a pretty brunette who gives decent head. They continue the copulation inside a less than-exciting apartment but apparently fear of waking the neighbors puts a damper on the proceedings.

Vol. 443 will either blow your mind or make you blow your lunch. Looking like an escapee from The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, a cowboy-hatted cracker with a penchant for Buttman-inspired POV videography follows his masked, roly-poly, floppy-titted wife around as she diddles herself with a vibrator, smacks her pussy with a leather paddle and (allegedly) stuff a riding crop up her ass – there's so much cellulite hiding her crack that we'll have to take her word for it. (No pop shot after he sticks it in, but who blames the poor guy?). Two more pudgies round out (ahem) the volume; a couple of on-camera pop shots and some real heat is actually generated. For specialty customers only, though.

Lastly, Vol. 444 begins with another lengthy, zoom-in/zoom-out solo session featuring an Asian lass. Really cheezy FX and an uninterrupted wide shot fail to capture anything substancial when her partner eventually makes an appearance. Slightly better is another couple into light S&M, as both enjoy some tame strokes under a switch.

People: Dig out your vidcam manuals, learn 'em, and have a capable videographer (i.e. a third party) grab a variety of angles, for Pete's sake! Just DO IT!
