Early on you'll realize why this product of the once-fertile Damiano imagination was left to languish on the shelves for two years. Although Moana Pozzi, the title character, has a decent Euro-blonde look, her screen presence and sexual charisma have all the charm of week-old tuna salad. In fact, a key scene of Part 1 has her literally carted out like a lox platter on wheel, before a roomful of vacationing hedonists at the "Chateau", a high-class brothel run by Gloria Leonard.
The attendant sexual liaisons at the house of pleasure (which pales in comparison to the digs in Hidden Obsessions or Pussyman) form the core of a rather banal plot where Buck Adams and Jonathan Morgan wander around, listlessly forcing themselves to crack wise while witnessing the dull debauchery. Peter North has a fair one-on-one with Moana that may have benefited from a new-fangled technique called sound. Instead, the music track waxes a saccharine melody as they perform the usual oral and anal (no initial penetration shot) gymnastics, the camera lazily zooming back and forth instead of actually moving.
Now if this isn't torturous enough, we get the real thing: A dungeon, where Moana's chained to the wall and cock-teased by a hooded man, who finally gives her the beef injection she's craving. Apparently this babe likes to be humiliated, which is why she's so gloriously happy at Gloria's cathouse. A real '90s woman.
The supporting cast reads like a who's who of second stringers, with the likes of Holly Ryder, Shawnee Cates, Stacy Nichols and Alyssa Jarreau contributing tired old routines. The lensing and editing are particularly choppy in the multi-couple "cocktail party" scene, which is saved by an enthusiastic erotic encounter between Flame and Tom Chapman. He spreads her alabaster cheeks for a decent anal dive; far better than an ineffectual d.p. that Moana receives from Cal Jammer and Peter North. The film ends with a cliffhanger that finds Jonathan Morgan unable to get it up for his naked goddess. A sequel will follow. Also featuring Julian St. Jox, Ed Powers, Tim Lake, and E.Z. Ryder.
However, keep in mind that the Damiano name has impact among the video renting gentry.
