The history behind this, is an upscale version of a barroom wet t-shirt event, is interesting. It was lends last September for subsequent pay-per-view airing. The contest actually ran the length of a hot afternoon (in more ways than one), with the highlights being captured for future video release. So what you're seeing here is a sharp, well-edited capsulization of the event.

Yours truly was asked to be one of the judges, and I can safely say the contents of this handsome video package contains a few extra goodies even judges weren't privy to.

A total of 13 of Hollywood's finest dancing, bikini-clad females strut their wares on an outdoor stage (erected on a tennis court behind one of Beverly Hill's finest mansions). There on-stage antics are supplemented with such essential biographical anecdotes, as the fact that Bianca, a Fran Drescher-type grew up on a circus performer; Samantha spends three hours a day in the gym, etc.

To add to your enjoyment of this tape, you might want to judge along and see if your winner squares up with that of the consensus. My personal pick didn't win, but what the fuck do I know?

The bonus I alluded to earlier is a number of strip-to-nude sidebars, both indoors and out, featuring some of the contestants who only got to bare their tops on stage. (Pay-per-view has got to grow up.) These extracurricular segments weren't part of the actual contest, but were included for the enjoyment of the home video viewer and are done in Hot Body's trademark, on-the-money style.

Sometimes being a judge isn't all that it's cracked up to be, though. But that's another story…
