Wanted sets a new high water mark in the genre of MTV-style music video sex. The story is another matter—but we'll get to that.
Hardkore Productions imbues each of the nine (count 'em, nine!) sex scenes with a different song, creating a unique mood for each. The Shelby Stevens/Ian Daniels coupling appropriately rocks to a metalesque beat, while the Misty Rain shower/bed solo glides along the tracks of a Tangerine Dream-like syntho-score. Undoubtedly, this feature earns a pre-nom for best music.
Editing is often a kissing cousin to the music, especially when the visuals and soundtrack are synchronized as seamlessly as in this movie. Director Richard Mann and editor "The Chill Doctor" combine their talents to make this aspect of the production flawless. Especially effective are several "window onto the mind" effects. When Shelby Stevens asks Olivia if she's going to share her new girlfriend and Olivia responds, "You know I always share," the screen is filled with a few seconds of quick-cut, rug-munching images set to a dope, fly-ass beat. Judges, another pre-nom, if you please.
Sexual highlights include the mish anal with Tera Heart and Tom Byron, where you can see Heart's pussy contracting during the cum shot after Byron pulls out of her ass. Also, the Debi Diamond, Vanessa Chase, Gerry Pike threeway in which Chase pours hot wax on Deb—including her tongue!
Nominate director Mann for bringing all of these elements together so beautifully. If the mark of a great porno flick is how long it keeps your finger off the fast forward button, then Wanted succeeds in spades. Eighty-seven minutes may seem a short running time for nine scenes, but that's because Mann keeps the action moving at a fast clip (a rarity in adult fims).
Only Wanted's lame story brings the rating down. An attempt at a plot is make—"attempt" being the key word here. Tom Byron plays the night receptionist at a dating agency. The matches are mixed and everyone ends up having great sex. The night receptionist gets it on with the day receptionist and the maid gets it on with the postman. A compelling human drama this ain't.
Strongly recommend this feature to your customers who appreciate great looking sex and awards-worthy music. (Hey, Dreamland¸ how 'bout releasing the CD?) An eye-catching boxcover also adds to the appeal. Stock heavily.
