Is there still anyone out there who doesn't like the look of film and prefers ANY shot on video to the best of the filmed features? If there is some poor uninformed soul out there, then please rent (or buy) Above the Knee for the awakening of your life. I don't think there is any aspect of this production that doesn't  deserve an award nomination. From the cinematography (beautiful!), to the editing (seamless), to Ariel Hart's believable script, to the performances (we'll get to them), this is one superior movie.

The story finds Marc Wallice engaged to Rebecca Bardoux, his-live-in girlfriend. But Marc dreams about Tera Heart, one of Rebecca's best friends. In each dream, though, just as his hand is about to go above the knee (get it?), he wakes up shouting her name. Somehow Rebecca doesn't catch on to Marc's obsession even after the third shout, but she's got enough to keep herself occupied. Her friends Kaitlyn Ashley (looking better than ever, if that's possible) and Tera give Rebecca a going away present that consists of an outdoor all-girl threesome that not only is one of the best of the year so far, but is one of the best ever! PERIOD!

Then, substitute Tom Byron for Rebecca and our two horny ladies have something else to play with. And speaking of horny, Marc's backdoor party centerpiece is the unquenchable Debi Diamond. It would take more than just Cal Jammer and Byron to put out her fire and these guys don't come close. Then try -- but an army of anatomically correct androids would be vanquished by Miss Diamond.

By now, you just know that the last scene is going to be with Tera and Marc -- and not only does he get her at the end, but also IN the end. One anal nomination, if you please. And don't leave director Toni English out of all this backslapping. Especially since this is, in my opinion, her best effort to date. Retailers, puh-leeze establish that shot-on-film section if you haven't already done so.

Fans of film are hardcore collectors, and they tend to buy rather than rent.
