What do you do when a fetish becomes more than just a fetish? That's the question haunting Steven St. Croix in this stylish film. St. Croix is a photographer with an overpowering attraction to nylon. His obsession costs him his job, his apartment, his girlfriend (Celeste), and nearly his life.
Best of show has Rocco playing a good samaritan who convinces Celeste that St. Croix's obsession is something she could learn to enjoy -- and then proceeds to boff her seriously all over her apartment, ending in a facial. Also highly watchable is the finale, where Celeste takes Rocco's advice and capitalizes on St. Croix's fantasy by outfitting herself in the object of his affection.
The film does have some flaws. The acting ranges from superb (look for Best Non-Sex Role nom for Veronica Hart's excellent portrayal of an extremely sexy psychologist) to wooden (Rocco's non-sex work is a walk-through, and that damn accent makes it difficult to understand any of his pearls of wisdom). The music is sensational, lending each scene a unique mood. A few choppy edits and misspelled names in the credits mar the feel a bit, though. Celeste, who's now made the decision to fuck other guys besides Woody Long, looks gorgeous on the boxcover. We assume that enough fans share the nylon to make this a very marketable release.
