Jenna Jameson's performance is top-notch, but the script and plot (essentially lifted from Basic Instinct) dictate that this is Jeanna Fine's show. As the prime suspect in the murder, Fine's nominations-worthy portrayal is as reserved in the interrogation scene with Vince Vouyer and Anthony Crane as it is brazenly wanton in her anal and oral fuck-fests with Peter North and Bobby Vitale, Vouyer, and in a final "fetish and fantasy" sequence with Jameson. Pre-noms also for art direction, and to Vouyer as best actor.
So why only three-and-a-half" "A's"? The sex is better than average, but never blistering;a nd the script, which occasionally falters along the way, absolutely fizzles near the climax. Also, though Lovette is advertised on the box, she fails to make an appearance.
Still, we recommend you stock this tape —it's beautiful to look at and well-acted, so there should be no mystery as you watch Hard Evidence disappear repeatedly from your store shelves.
