Reviews

For sheer hardcore action and attractive players, European film productions may be the best thing going; The Joy Club is no exception. Virtually every scene contains huge Italian sausages, vigorous anal banging and juicy facials. No regrets —D'Amato delivers the hardest sex around. (Scorching enough to overlook the lack of initial penetration shot and atrocious dubbing.)

However, in light of the recent explosion of American films which are attempting not only to compete with the hardcore foreign fare, but also make more than a glimmer of sense in the story department, D'Amato films fall behind.

The premise depicts a WWII Allied brother (aka The Joy Club) designed to keep their armies content. It's a decent springboard that goes absolutely nowhere; just an excuse to play dress-up. (Which may explain why nobody gets fully naked —they didn't want to waste the costume budget! And, why are the women dressed as flappers???)

Say it ain't so, Joe. Surprise us Yanks and make a whole movie.
