Amiable, sultry and highly professional, Shannon Tweed comes off in her interviews like a sexy neighbor next door. Not too obvious, but always available for a cup of sugar.

Contemporary audiences may not be familiar with the fact that Tweed was once Playmate of the Year, but rather with her career in the direct-to-video market, which spawned such artistically dubious (if highly successful) series such as Night Eyes. However, those who have original copies of her Playboy appearances will shine to the fact that Shannon still rocks like a brick shitter.

Amusingly, Shannon's link to Night Eyes serves as one of the sexy set-pieces, as she disrobes and showers while a security camera catches her in the act. She's also effective in a B&W femme fatale shoot, but when a bed mysteriously appears in the middle of what looks like a set left over from Universal's Frankenstein, the tone dives into high camp.

For all their entertainment value, the interview segments ("hef thought I was too skinny at first") coul've been dedicated to paint drying. But when this strawberry blonde gets down to stripping her inhibitions, the heat steadily rises like a thermometer in a steam room.
