Blow Dry is like an adult version of a David Lynch movie. That is to say, it's like a waking dream: romantic and hardcore, realistic and fantastical. Like a dream it has its own illogic logic, and the images stay with you after it's over.
The setting is a hair salon run by Morgan Fairlane. T.T. Boy stops in for a haircut; when he tries to pay with a $50 bill, Fairlane goes in the back to make chang,e but makes it with Mr. Marcus instead. Fifteen years later (?!?), T.T. comes back, gets a haircut from Jenteal, and in mid-snip asks her to marry him. She says yes. He hangs out at the salon. A couple of sex scenes later, she disappears.
Believe us, it's a lot better than we can communicate in a few brief sentences. There are five sex scenes, one of them g/g. Ralph Parfait's pre-nom-worthy cinematography takes full advantage of the mirror-filled environment. The script by B. Clechon, and Cleo Edwards' direction, are also noteworthy.
Recommended, especially for couples.
