Plagued by point-and-shoot production values, by-the-numbers action and questionable technical prowess, Impromptu is not always an impressive piece.

The good thing is that some of the scenes have decent energy.  The girls are mostly newcomers who try to exert themselves with some success.  That, however, does little to lift this production above average.
