Practical logic tells us that having nearly cleared the forty-volume hurdle, there's a steady market for Black Knockers - but it begs the question, does the series serve this market well?
Not particularly. Certainly they fulfill the minimum requirement for the genre: eight Nubian titties per volume. Yet nowhere to be found is the joie de vivre which the mammary enthusiast experiences whenever a well-endowed woman bounces down the street, and would naturally (excuse the pun) expect from a series with Knockers prominently displayed in the title; they might as well be called Black Fuckers.
The pains to which real breast-men such as Russ Meyer devote to their craft - the loving close-up of Toll House cookie-sized nipples, shots taken from the male POV as the ladies ride cock while their jugs swan and undulate above, even the simple sashay of an ample bust stuffed into a tight top as a woman enters, nay, engages a room - all of these moments are avoided in these vids like (pun again) the black friggin' plague.
Aside from an occasional tit-humping and nipple tweaking, the value that BK serves is solely utilitarian, i.e. simple hardcore action. On that front, some of it is good - sweaty and juicy like it should be - while a fair percentage is just more porn by the pound. And speaking of pounds, most of the gals, unlike the titular (but lithe) Meyer goddesses, are really ample all over, which begets another - though not necessarily appropriate - genre entirely. A few fresh faces, like cover girls Tina and Baby Boo, add an appeal which might help sell-through sales, but the quest for the perfect top-heavy chocolate drop is far from over.
