It's hard to say whether this video is an homage to the Sam Spade films, or a parody of them; either way, it doesn't work. In a story we've all seen a hundred times before, Asia Carrera plays a rich bitch who wants to eliminate her husband to collect on his insurance. She hires lowlife Dave Hardman to kill her hubby, played with remarkable imprecision by Metro contract stud Julian. Throw into this unstable mix Vince Vouyer, as the private dick Carrera hires to catch the killer, and Brittany Andrews, who plays Vouyer's libidinous secretary, and you've got an unstable mess.
A beautiful boxcover is wasted on this substandard tape. With the sole exception of a threeway featuring Rick Masters, J.J. Michaels, and the ever-radiant Chloe, Bite the Big Apple produces little heat and less dramatic tension.
