What can I tell you? This tape is an undeniably well-crafted mélange of wall-to-wall, nonstop, steamy sex. The girls, all new to U.S. audiences, are pretty, but not extraordinary. There are dollops of good-looking bondage gear, tons of sex toys, and capable, mostly uncut studs. You get some innovative camerawork and lighting—especially the latter. The editing alternates between languid and MTV-on-crank frenetic, which is what most producers consider “artistic,” but most viewers and critics find tiresome and not erotic. Good music ties it together, but it doesn’t work completely.

The music video stylistics and the absence of dialogue are also too impersonal, especially with unfamiliar performers. Hendrix’s fondness for alternating through-the-viewfinder-style POV with extreme close-ups paradoxically heightens the sense of distance. You’re purely a viewer, from the outside, not invited inside. Director Hendrix is not Elegant Angel’s Great White Hope from the North.
