If anyone working in the adult biz today is destined to have a mental illness named after them, it has to be Joey Silvera. The fact is, Joey already has his own form of unidentifiable madness, one that leads to scattered, indecipherable porno vérité that you can tell makes sense to somebody. Who that somebody is is another matter altogether.
Oh, who cares. The fucking is great. Forget the weird dog-washing subtext; forget the sheet of white paper Silvera carries around, the one with a cartoon woman scrawled on it; forget the guys ordering a waitress from their hand-written menus. Forget all the blithering, labyrinthine bullshit, and watch first-timer Shawna Valentino take on Tommy Byron with nothing but her asshole and a fresh tube of lip gloss. Watch Angela and Sophie Call communicate anally with Sean Michaels, even though neither speaks a word of English. Hell, watch any of these terrific scenes, but don't try to make sense of 'em: That way madness lies.
