Give me a second to throw a Lovin' Spoonful CD in my computer....
Van Damage and his Extreme associates time-warp us back into the hippie '60's with Flesh Pot. It starts with a psychedelic bus pulling into frame and a montage of Stryc-9, beautiful hippie-chick smile on her face, posing on and in the bus in various states of dress and undress. Soon she's joined by bus pilot Lexington Steele for a hot one-on-one, where the 5-foot Stryc-9 takes almost all of Steel's massive tool. Up her ass.
Four more scenes follow after that, all outdoors, all capturing that attitude of carefree sexuality of the hippie era. Wild angles and camera moves, color-shifting and creative editing all help keep the psychedelic mood. Costuming is mostly on the mark: The '90s-era pube trims and piercings are unavoidable, but nobody wore nail polish in the '60s. Especially metallic. It's director/art director Damage, oddly, who breaks period the worst by strutting into one scene in '90s-fashionable all-black duds and wraparound designer shades. No matter. The five scenes all smoke, and that's what does matter.
Pre-nom to Junio Bonner for editing, and let's remember the Van Damage/Gwen Summers/Luciano/Jewel Valmont love-in when it's nomination time.
