The premise of this tape (girl bound to chair by high-tech sadist, with no recourse but fantasy) screams out for respect, to be considered more than a highbrow w-t-w; but it isn't, and wears thin after about 30 minutes. However, there's no denying the skill of director Gold. There is style, momentum and attitude. The writing is subtle (at first) and erotic, and, best of all, not obvious. The photography is superlative and the synthesis of music and visuals is downright compelling.

It doesn't last. In the end, one wants the story to keep pace with the technique, and it doesn't hold up. There is a lack of unity between the scenes. The various fantasies are unrelated to one another, especially a coupling by a pool that seems to belong to another video.
