Let's get the bad stuff out of the way first. If the editing in this Scream parody had been better, there'd be a higher rating. Too much distraction occurs during the vid -- the director's voice is heard, cameras flash, etc. These were problems that could have easily been remedied, yet are shamefully ignored.
That said, however, director David Thompson creates a fast-paced sexual romp that is both hysterical and creepy. He fills his cast with powerhouse sexual performers and some decent actors. The script's dialogue is campy (replacing all horror movie references with porn references), but the actors carry it off.
The video is peppered with fine moments: the opening scene with popcorn-burning Tommy Lord being impaled on a staircase by Chad Donovan's mammoth rod (pre-nom Best Sex Scene); Jason Branch fucking the hell out of Ethan Marc (spelled Marke in the credits); and a terrific threesome with Blake Harper, Donovan and Marc (pre-nom Best Threesome), just to name a few.
A lot of the fun is seeing how Thompson pieces everything together to incorporate the porn references -- but let's face it, most people know the original and this doesn't stray too far. It's pretty clever, though, complete with twists, in-jokes and everything. The make-up is a little bizarre and there are a few odd choices made -- most particularly the prelude to the final sex scene.
Pre-nom direction, art direction, Harper's steamy solo as Best Solo Performance and a definite pre-nom to Chad Donovan as Best Supporting Actor. He literally steals the show as an over-the-top porn psychopath.
