Reviews

Some hits to help those watching Ginger Lynn's newest winner, White Lightning.

Hint #1: Forget "white lightning"; it's got nothing to do with the plot. Rather, think Elmore Leonard or James Ellroy or even Jim Thompson, any of whom might use this as the title for a noir crime novel, and none of whom would hesitate to use lightning as the background element/mood setter it serves here.

Hint #2: If it's plot you're interested in, plan on seeing this feature twice (it's that complex), and plan on taking notes as you go... speaking of which, we're told the feature draws its chronologically-jumbled presentation from last year's mainstream film Go, though it could just as easily be said to mirror Brian DePalma's Snake Eyes.

Hint #3: It would probably help to know up front that Chloe's and Mickey G's characters are married, and that Chloe plays Michael J. Cox's boss. So after Ginger and Michael's opening sex scene, where he can't get her to suck his cock, his claim that he has to leave to meet his boss is actually true, even if Chloe doesn't dress like any police captain we've ever seen... nor do most police captains have sex with their underlings at a table in a crowded nightclub [It's hard to tamper with naiveté like this. —Ed.].

Hint #4: Follow the money... if you can. If you can't, just following the sex will be enough.

And what sex! Ginger herself essays six of the 10 scenes, including a solo masturbation as she talks to psychiatrist Nina Hartley; but that opener with Cox is one of the best. The setting features flowing white draperies enclosing a four-poster bed, in which Ginger is at her sexiest. She certainly enjoys Michael's finger-fucking, and her reactions to the mish, doggie and reverse cowgirl are enthusiastic enough to produce plenty of boners in the viewing population, even if they may dislike her obvious (in character) aversion to the facial finish.

Later, Ginger's involved in a girl/girl/girler with gossip columnist Kylie Ireland and love doll Keisha (who's recently added the surname "Dominguez"). Ginger dildos Keisha's pussy and ass with a double-header, leading to a daisy-chain lick session.

The closing scene is a winner as well, with Bad Armstrong ("Courtesy of Wicked Pictures") pleasuring the classic blonde horsie style (with anal) in an old warehouse, as Sindee Coxx takes photos before joining in the action.

But perhaps Ginger's best scene is her "cop fantasy," where men-out-of-blue Billy Glide and Dale DaBone double-team her for mish, doggie and cowgirl, this las leading directly into a d.p. that leaves everyone exhausted.

The supporting cast are no slouches either. Chloe gives one of the best hip jobs we've seen during her reverse cowgirl with Cox at the club, then later takes it up the ass from Mickey G. in her usual exuberant fashion.

The scenes in all, every one well worth watching even if some appear to have been cut down a bit to fit even this tape's ample running time. Easily a pre-nom for Best Video, and Hart gets a Best Director nod for ably handling all the plot twists and delivering a product that bears at least one repeat viewing. Kudos also for an engaging script by the Torn crew, who've done themselves one better with White Lightning.
