From the second this latest addition to the “AxelVerse” kicks off—with the familiar strains of the classic Spider-Man theme song bopping (only revamped, natch, with Axel-fied lyrics such as “If her puss is tight, they will bang her all night”) under a spectacular animated sequence of Spidey swinging around a bustling metropolis—you will be deliriously hooked.
Fulfilling the fan wet dream not yet realized in mainstream of teaming Spider-Man (newly embodied by rising talent Tyler Cruise) with Deadpool (reprised once again, perhaps with more spunk than ever before—pun fully intended—by Seth Gamble), this is easily one of the most wall-to-wall fun and genuinely hysterical send-ups to come out of the Axel Braun hit factory.
With reigning AVN Best Leading Actress Kenna James and Best New Starlet Blake Blossom taking on our spandex-encased heroes in the splooge-tastic opening and closing scenes, there is no lack of star-powered sex here, either. To elaborate a bit, James, as Mary Jane Watson, goes all out with Deadpool in what she thinks is an audition opposite Ryan Reynolds; while Blossom, playing alternate-universe character Spider-Gwen, bumps uglies with her interdimensional self—Spidey, that is ... it’s complicated—when Doctor Strange, played by Braun regular Ryan Driller, sends him through a multiverse portal.
In the meantime, Strange gets treated to the strange of Captain Marvel, with Kenzie Taylor once more returning to the role that’s earned her widespread acclaim since she first took it on in 2019 ... including landing her a 2020 AVN trophy for Best Transgender One-on-One Sex Scene (with superstar Aubrey Kate).
The joys of SpideyPool XXX are numerous, but we feel the need to call extra attention to the non-sex performance of longtime righthand-man-to-Braun Marc Kramer, who practically steals the show with his uproarious deadpan portrayal of ... well, himself. It’s truly award-worthy (and he in fact has a 2023 AVN Awards nomination to prove it), as is pretty much everything about this rollicking blast of entertainment.
