Aspiring and talented skateboarder and street artist Lucky Fate really shines in this coming of age treat situated during the end of the '90s, with Y2K looming on the horizon. Living on his own, Fate travels across town on his skateboard and stops at his dad’s place for a confrontation—and his old sketch books that contain drawings of his long lost love, Maya Woulfe. Dad, an aging tough guy played amazingly by Tommy Pistol in old-man biker make-up, only lets down his rough persona when hitting the mattress with his girlfriend, Vicki Chase.
After showing off tricks at a skateboard park, Fate and friends jump a fence and swim in someone’s pool where Robby Echo and Charlotte Sins knock off a quick anal with a pop on her rear.
Back at their pad, Fate leaves Nathan Bronson to enjoy a threesome with Lilly Bell and Vanna Bardot. Later, Pistol finds Fate while he is tagging a wall and a fight erupts between father and son. Emotions are vividly expressed afterwards with regretful tears.
In the final scene, a big Y2K rave party gets freakin’ crazy—hey, where else can you see a naked Robby Echo skateboarding on his hands as a band performs music reminiscent of The Ramones? (Check out the list of party extras in the final credits—17 mostly familiar industry faces populate the crowd.) This is where Fate finally ends up getting thrown together with the love of his life, Woulfe. Their rooftop coupling is ideal for romantics. A feel-good ending tops it all off.
