This offbeat 1979 tale of supernatural sexuality is chock full of religious metaphor, but director Bianchi sublimely ducks a direct answer to whether or not Bimba (Katell Laennec) is actually possessed. Undeniably, she's hornier than the Devil!

All hell breaks loose when this overcharged adolescent starts seducing family members in their remote castle estate. Early on, she embarrasses everyone by grabbing the butler's crotch during a formal dinner. Better yet is the scene where Bimba makes love to her standing mirror image while a nun attempts to break into the room by jimmying the door's lock with a huge phallic knife. (Sister's unprepared for a wild Sapphic trip!)

Malabimba's restored print looks terrific ... like a colorfully saturated Mario Bava film; it plays like a hardcore Coffin Joe fever dream. Italian babes Giordano and Webley also starred in well-known vehicles Satan's Baby Doll and Salon Kitty. Laennec is a delightfully arousing surprise. Bonus material fluctuates from interesting to repetitive.
