Synopsis

Marissa (Rachel Starr) and Kevin (Michael Vegas) have been friends for a long time and everyone thinks that they'd make a perfect couple, except they work together and don't want to ruin their friendship. Besides, they're both dating other people. Then one night, Marissa is attacked and Kevin is in the right place at the right time. Is this the push these potential lovebirds need to realize their true feelings or has their chance at happiness passed?

Reviews

A romantic movie where the two protagonists are right for each other and everybody sees it but them.

Michael Vegas arranges an ultra-romantic dinner for Melissa Moore at a restaurant, just the two of them. After he checks how to lock the place up with restaurant owner Rachel Starr, he comes back to find Moore in her lilac underwear set: "I thought we should start with dessert." For her part, Starr is trapped in a bad relationship with Ryan Driller, as evidenced by her casually mentioning, "My restaurant burned down last night" over breakfast and his half-listening "Uh-huh"—although he's not averse to a blowjob in the living room.

Vegas is a bartender at Starr's restaurant, and when he thanks her for arranging the tryst he points out that Moore isn't The One and besides she's taking a job in London. When Vegas offers to walk Starr to her car, she waves him off, but a guy tries to rob her and Vegas stops him, getting shot for his trouble and requiring a hospital stay. When Vegas thanks Starr for helping him in his recovery and he starts to tell her how he really feels, Starr remembers she's supposed to meet Driller at the restaurant—when she gets there, she catches Driller leaving the ladies' loo with bartender Alexa Grace. Starr realizes that she should have hooked up with Vegas all along ... but is it too late? (SPOILER: No.)

Daniels continues her mastery of the brief, entertaining movie with full characters and five sex scenes—including a quick romantic side story with Alana Cruise and Tyler Knight—in a trim, tight 92 minutes. Daniels also plays to the band with some quick in-joke cameos by behind-the-camera industry regulars. Great filler for an active romance section, and a pleasant way to spend an hour and a half for anybody.
