Synopsis

"Takers" is a gritty erotic thriller set in the near future. The government has turned its back on society and the health care and medical insurance industries have gone haywire. Medical costs have skyrocketed and many procedures have become “Black Market” operations. Enter the world of organ selling … and stealing. Donor lists are now a thing of the past and patients are willing to do whatever it takes to get the lifesaving organs they need. In this black market economy… the highest bidder lives. Alan Hendrix, an unscrupulous businessman, has assembled a team of “Takers”—Karen (Asa Akira), Sienna (Anna Foxxx) and Carrie (Kleio Valentine)—beautiful seductresses who lure men into a night of passion they’ll never forget. Unfortunately, they’ll wake up to find they’ve become unwilling organ donors. This edge of your seat drama mixes intense sex, intriguing storytelling, and incredible acting by some of today’s most talented performers. This movie is a “must see” and will change your mind about what an adult movie can be.

Reviews

Politics and porn aren’t exactly strange bedfellows, yet neither are they the most comfortable of couples. But for Wicked director Brad Armstrong, combining them is a challenge he clearly relishes. Like last year’s DNA, the dystopian drama Takers portrays a society plagued by soulless technology, corporate greed and government corruption. But unlike DNA, which envisions a more distant future where cloning is a commercial reality, the nightmare scenario of Takers—a world where the health care system is so broken that organ thefts are rampant—is a little too close for comfort under the current U.S. administration.

For those who are more interested in the pleasures of the flesh than the profundities of the plot, Armstrong front-loads Takers with plenty of sexual sizzle. Asa Akira plays Karen Clark, one of the titular takers, who sets out to seduce and victimize Mark Duncan (Armstrong). When we first meet Karen she’s already tightly focused on Mark’s crotch; soon he’s happily pounding both of her holes. It’s all fun and games until he ends up with a hastily stitched hole of his own—and a missing kidney. We then follow both these characters, as we learn why Karen turned to organ heists and how Mark became a target.

But before getting to the most plot-rich portion of the movie, Armstrong serves up five more sex scenes. Sienna (Ana Foxxx) and Carrie (Kleio Valentien) seduce their own marks, Tim Keller (Ryan Driller) and Bob Lewis (Marcus London). One wrinkle comes up when Carrie finds that Lewis isn’t alone—but his companion, Lisa (Sarah Vandella), is more than willing to believe three’s company. A well-orchestrated sex romp ensues, with the hotness level boosted considerably by Vandella incorporating a champagne bottle into the mix so she can keep herself entertained while her playmates are otherwise occupied.

Eventually, Karen, Sienna and Carrie all converge at a meeting with their boss, Alex Hendrix (Derrick Pierce). Like Charlie, he’s got three angels, but Alex is no Charlie. A cold, menacing dude (and Pierce does cold and menacing to great effect), he uses their desperation to his advantage. Akira takes advantage of her more meaty role, and fans of girl/girl action will not be surprised to hear that this rainbow coalition—one Asian, one black and one blonde—eventually comes together to lick their wounds … and each other's pussies. In fact, this session could be the raison d’être for the entire production.

That’s not to dismiss the value of the story—it’s merely to recognize Armstrong’s business savvy. He knows how to give it up to the horndogs while at the same time offering his actors some juicy tidbits to feast on. And true fans of this porn auteur—and the company he works for—will appreciate getting a little social message along with the sex.
