David Stanley's grocery lists are better than some people's completed videos. Here he mixes Poltergeist, The Shining, and his own twisted dreams into a spooky story of a couple (Vince Vouyer and Inari Vachs) who buy an isolated house that could be haunted, or maybe just frequented by Devon who likes to run around in a negligee on the front lawn and occasionally have sex out there too. Vouyer really starts seeing things - or imagining them - when Vachs gets pregnant. Capper with the daughter, all grown up, ends matters on a chilling ambiguous note.
There are some plot holes - the characters have no backstory, they just turn up and buy a house - and some of the acting is weak, but Stanley manages to understate oh-so-very-delicately the horrors he has to offer here rather than sledgehammer them. Five sex scenes; two with Devon, who is featured on the box cover; but the sex is only part of the draw. Nice clever throwaway gag after the credits for those who stick around that long.
