Ohh, the old "sex therapist" bit. Haven't seen that one in a while. Actually, haven't seen one this good in quite a while. Mike Horner is the therapist helping to set straight the sexual shortcomings of couples and singles alike. The couples complain to the doc, he prescribes a course of action, they execute it, and report back.
The problems won't make anybody uncomfortable, involving hang-ups about anal sex, oral sex, sex outside the bedroom, and the possibility of doing it near —if not with— another couple. Plus the venerable lonely-guy-fantasizing-about doing-the nurse for a little seasoning.
The performances are sincere and enthusiastic. (The guy's nose flattened against his wife-s butt as he tongues her pucker may not be the most beautiful image in the world, but it say "lost in passion" better than any line of dialogue could.) Images, by Jake Jacobs, are pretty —an director Anderson puts the camera in the right place and pulls good performances out of one and all.
Maybe the best combination of couples-friendly non-sex content and hot sex so far this year.
