God and the Devil have a bet that much-divorced socialite Lesllie Bovee will marry next time for either (a) love or (b) money... and guess who has which side of the bet? Bovee, who here bears a striking resemblance to then-up-and-coming Hollywood star Lesley Ann Warren, is helped in her marital search by pal Gloria Leonard, who essays a lot of softcore and a bit of hardcore action throughout the film.
Leonard introduces Bovee to a couple of rich prospects, though only "Mr. Cornwall" (Eric Stanhope) stays around for long. While he's romancing her, she's having trysts all over the place, such as with waiter Jack Wrangler (a nice mish in a restaurant kitchen), Amerindian Sonny Landham (b.j. and spoon in bed), dark-complexioned Ajito (b.j. and horsie in a barn) and Eric Edwards (pussy-licking and mish, mostly softcore, in a small motorboat). Her final choice is in the best tradition of porn comedy, and director Chuck Vincent was just the guy to handle it. It's a comedy that maintains its risibility even after a quarter-century, and one we'll remember come Classic DVD nomination time.
