From Nu-Tech's "Classic Collection," these two films are very dated and appear to be products of the 70s. With Studio 54 style lettering, untrimmed bushes, and a young John Holmes acting in Stormy, onecan only guess how old these films really are. As a result, most of the flaws in these DVDs are a product of the old master. The pictures are very soft and fuzzy, and there are some spots appearing on the film. In transition to DVD, the feature appears to have acquired a bit of a moire pattern, but nothing too distracting.
3am also has a rainbow Crosshatch pattern over the picture, and most of the scenes are fuzzy and either very red or very green. The most disturbing flaw on this disc is the dirt on the film. On the film there are endless flakes of white that litter the picture. The dirt resembles everything from dust to scotch tape marks. It seems that the film could have been cleaner when it was transferred.
Stock for nostalgic purposes if nothing else.
