Yes, Manuel Ferrara titled this interracial movie after the Hershey’s candy bar, which is apropos considering how he licks his lips over his leading ladies. It’s a sweet deal indeed for the director, who serves as male talent in every scene.

Special Dark is an intimate affair—no pumping bass music or elaborate teases. Ferrara purrs behind the camera, enjoying each performer’s attributes. And there’s plenty of variety here. The first scene features Kira Noir, who apparently hadn’t worked with Ferrara yet.
