For a small frontier town like Diablo City, there's a lot going on. Consumptive land baron Frank Garrett (Jay Crew) may be yoked to his harpy wife, Pearl (Jessica Drake), but his heart belongs to hooker Joanna (Annika Albrite), and so does a deed to part of his ranch and a map to "the most beautiful part of my ranch," which he gave her in a moment of post-coital tenderness.
Meanwhile, at a poker tournament at the local saloon, flashy lady Dani (Stormy Daniels) is using her considerable wiles and a bit of cheating to win at poker, hiding cards in the well-filled bodice of her red silk dress. When Garrett goes for a second round in bed with Joanna and dies in the process—thankfully offscreen—bad guy Sheriff Clayton (Steven St. Croix) arrests her and takes the deed and map away, snarling, "No man would give this to a whore" and condemning her to be hanged for murder. Just like that. Even the deputy (Dick Chibbles) thinks the sheriff is hasty, asking, "Shouldn't we wait for the marshal?" and getting dismissed with a curt, "The marshal's got better things to do."
Garrett's assistant, Samuel (Eric Masterson), and Lilah (Allie Haze) know the real story. They beg Dani and her sidekick, Birdie (Amber Rayne), to help save Joanna from the noose. Birdie wants no part of it, but Dani takes command: "Birdie, get my gun. And my pants." The resulting gunfight ends with Joanna and her rescuers high-tailing it out of town as Clayton empties his revolver of shell casings, beaten for the moment.
Clayton tries to gather a posse, including passing stranger Morgan (Brendon Miller), as the fugitives head off. Morgan, it turns out, is a bounty hunter who has a history with Dani, and when Morgan gets the drop on her Dani gives her word to turn herself in to Morgan—if she can help Joanna first. A duplicate map gets found, and the group goes out to find what Garrett called "the most beautiful piece." They finally find it as Clayton finds them, and an armed gunfight ensues, with the outcome in doubt until the last gunshot. Leaving Dani to settle up with Clayton.
Tech credits first-rate, with exquisite cinematography by Jake Jacobs, often in low light. Daniels' script mixes period visuals with contemporary dialogue, often spoken by Amber Rayne as the Thelma Ritter/Bill Murray voice-of-reason buddy character. There are 10 sex scenes before the final fadeout and the second disc in the package is full of extras—including six behind-the-scenes sequences—adding further value. Highly recommended.
