The familiar theme of finding a sexy way to bring in customers drives the story here, and at the same time it serves as a great way to attract viewers to the brand of alt-porn created by Joanna Angel and her friends. This homage to the late ’50s and early ’60s era of coffee shops and beatniks is actually like, crazy, man—a very creative and humorous treat.
Angel, her employees, and the wacked-out and spacy customers easily blend into their roles. Speaking of blending in, when Derrick Pierce gets lucky with brightly inked Kleio and Veruca James, their designer body tattoos almost become one with the gaudy period designs on the sofa.
To be clear, the sex throughout is hot and spicy and still retains the beatnik era’s vibe. A lot of care and planning went into the sets and plot, and the result is something that has to be seen—at least once. Like, well done, man. Cool. Hip.
