Girlfriends Films has no trouble letting a single sex scene run for an hour or more, so a five-hour, four-scene, two-disc set is not a surprise. What is a surprise is the uninhibited conversation between the scene partners before each sex scene. There is no pretense that all the performers are committed lesbians—or committed to each other—but they have the shared work experience and the camaraderie of people who've Been There and Done That.

India Summer's radiant sexuality is on display in her scene with Sinn Sage, as she gives and receives pleasure with equal intensity. Rozen DeBowe initiates Juelz Ventura into the Girlfriends Films milieu, first in a discussion of their careers and then transitioning into more carnal demonstration. The scenes unfold slowly and deliberately—the familiar oral/oral/three positions/pop format of assembly-line hetero porn is not part of Girlfriends' repertoire—and the encounters have intensity and playfuless as the players get to know each other socially and biblically.
