Despite its title, the sex that goes down in this contender for AVN's 2012 Best Gonzo Release trophy hardly takes place only on the streets. There's sex in alleyways, on rooftops, across car hoods, along railroad tracks, in parking lots, and on and on. Basically, any place that presented a very real possibility of exposing these guys and gals—quite literally—to unsuspecting passersby seems to have been fair game to director Brother Love and company.

There's a whole lot packed into this production's surprisingly lean 112 minutes (surprising because there so often seems to be so much less "meat" to gonzo offerings twice as long ... and no, we don't mean that kind of meat). What's more, a hefty portion of it strains the boundaries, at the very least, of what you've likely seen dared in porn movies before.

As just one example, AVN's own Best New Starlet, Brooklyn Lee, has a go with Bruce Venture in an elevator while riding it up and down between the first and second floors of a shopping center right on Ventura Blvd.—each time, allowing the elevator door to open fully, leaving them perfectly visible to anyone rolling by in a car or, potentially, happening along at any given moment to use that elevator.

Later, Jessi Palmer and Alex Gonz actually fuck on a freeway overpass, in broad daylight, cars and trucks zooming right underneath them, occasionally honking. While the scene is nearly identical to a 2009 AVN Award nominee for Most Outrageous Sex Scene (from Justice Young's Busty Loads for Voodoo House), the ballsiness of it is so extreme, we couldn't possibly deign to deduct any points for lack of originality.

We will say that the frequent interjection of interview snippets with each girl between her stints of sexual stuntery may be distracting to some—especially since those same interviews can be found in uninterrupted form with the DVD's extras. Also, there are a couple of teases of impending anal footage that never materializes. But all in all, SOS keeps you engaged and excited throughout, with uniformly incendiary sexploits from each of its intrepid stars.
