We're unsure whether Digital Playground considers Fighters an addition to its "vocation" series or simply its own standalone picture, but either way, it deserves all the hype the company has put behind it. Robby D. has delivered a truly gripping and compelling drama of a higher grade than what most expect out of an adult feature, with likely the best acting we've ever seen in a DP movie from the entire cast, and sex scenes that are all as hot as they come, to boot.

Modeled loosely after the 2000 film Girlfight, the dual story here follows a pair of high school girls from different sides of the tracks (Kayden Kross is the privileged one, Jesse Jane the downtrodden) who have one thing in common: They're mad at Daddy. This leads both of them to take up boxing at a local gym, and ultimately they face each other in the ring.

For Jane, in particular, it's safe to say this is the performance of her career. The newly re-signed DP contract girl pours everything she's got into this role, and (believability of a high schooler looking like Jesse Jane aside) she nails it, summoning up all the anger and bristling defiance innate to the character with gusto.

Jesse has been brawling with classmate BiBi Jones because BiBi is fucking her pops, Tommy Gunn. In order to avoid being expelled, Jesse serves out a sort of detention sentence at the aforementioned boxing gym, where she falls under the wing—and eventually the cock—of trainer Scott Nails.

Kayden, meanwhile, is stewing because dear old Dad will for the umpteenth time not be making it home for her birthday, attempting to compensate for it by buying her yet another new Mercedes (what an asshole!). Unlike Jesse, Kayden has actually aspired for years to box, and she finds out about the gym's amateur matches through her housekeeper's niece (Vicki Chase).

Kayden, too, obviously got very into her role here, as did Gunn. In fact, for the latter, we'd go as far as to say this is his career best performance as well. But let's move on to the sex already.

There are eight sex scenes, all of them straightforward couplings (with, in a pleasant change of pace, not a single frame of anal to be found!). Kayden and her bratty friend Stoya get two scenes apiece, and there's one each with Jesse, her little sis Riley Steele, BiBi and Vicki ... and they're all (apologies in advance for the impending pun) total knockouts. Jesse's boxing ring bout with Nails and Stoya's in one of Kayden's manse bedrooms with Erik Everhard may stand out by just the slimmest hair, but none of 'em are any less than broiling.

We will say that the climactic spar between Jesse and Kayden probably stretches out a tad too long, and the outcome is less than satisfying. In addition, there's a lot of hinting throughout toward some potential girl/girl action between Stoya and Vicki that never comes to fruition. All in all, though, Fighters is a smashing success sure to leave couples and solo viewers equally sated.
