Directed by Kendo, Ink unites the U.K. erotic cineaste’s visual flair with decorative body art, mixing up a dose of erotica that will please alt-porn fans, BDSM devotees and lovers of visually polished porn alike. The lighting is dark and the fetishes darker, with plenty of big toys, leather, rope, corsets, gags and pointy boots.

Ink is a treat for all the senses. The soundtrack ranges from liturgical to Celtic to classical in style, intercut with deliciously convincing moans of pleasure. The sets, filled with ornate furniture and fabrics, are matched by the rich tapestries on the performers' bodies. And the intense aural and visual stimulation floods the mind with smells, tastes and sensations as well.

All the scenes are satisfying to the libido and the emotions, but when it comes to body modification it’s tough to beat Tallulah Thorn, a redhead with a winged heart tattoo, floral patterns on her outer thighs, assorted cartoonish figures up and down her arms and back of the hands, and “doll” tattooed on her fingers.
