Given their noms de porn, it was inevitable that Tori Black and Alektra Blue would one day do a scene together with at least some overtones of BDSM. And thanks to director Francois Clousot, the footage here—culminating in a scene with Black and Blue having their way with a chained Mick Blue—is every bit as decorative as its two stars.
These women—both riding high after January’s AVN Awards, where Tori Black was crowned Female Performer of the Year and Alektra Blue took home the Best Body title in AVN’s new Fan Awards category—have very different styles and strengths, but they’ve found common ground here in a collection of scenes that celebrate dominant, sexually confident women.
With Clousot’s background as a cinematographer, it’s hardly surprising that Black & Blue looks great, but his work here rises to the labor-of-love level, with pleasing visual flourishes aplenty. The first scene, pairing the two female stars, is flooded with white light, lending an ethereal quality to the action that takes place after Tori Black, playing jazz on a saxophone in her bedroom, conjures up Alektra Blue, reclining on the bed. Enveloped in light, they dive into each other’s pussies ... no boys, or even toys, allowed.
In the next two scenes, Clousot modulates the visual palette, going for silvery-blue lighting and muted beiges. Tori vamps for still photographer Rocco Reed in various space-age outfits before stripping for action. Clousot captures everything in sharp focus, particularly some great shots of the two in sidesaddle, showing off Black’s impeccable form, before a cumshot above Black’s tiny patch of bush.
Alektra’s up next, in a scene where Clousot switches back and forth between black-and-white and color footage. The latter, accompanied by ’30s-style jazz, is used to show Blue eying a factory worker (newcomer Brendon Miller, a heavily tatted blond); the color footage shows her slipping into an X-rated fantasy. Blue really seems invigorated here—maybe it’s because, as she says in the BTS, “Who doesn’t like a new cock?”
Then the color range switches again for the next two scenes, with lots of blacks and grays, with red accents. Wearing red latex topped by a black corset, Tori’s a decidedly menacing dentist; fortunately, for patient Nick Manning, she turns out to have another kind of drilling in mind. Manning fills Black’s cavity, grunting and moaning his way to a cathartic climax.
Next, wearing a skintight red micromini dress, Alektra proves she’s more than a match for would-be sexual harassers Kris Slater and Dane Cross, who are following her down a dark alley.
In the final scene, Clousot appropriately uses black and blue tones, with candles blazing, Tori and Alektra in leather, and Mick Blue in chains. Distressed effects designed to resemble cracked celluloid and scrambled digital signals ramp up the visual intensity to match the sex. Highlights include Tori getting fucked sidesaddle while Alektra nibbles her pussy; Tori returning the favor by rubbing Alektra’s clit vigorously while Alektra takes Mick up her ass; and the two of them putting their mouths together as Mick thrusts his cock between them for a facial followed by eager cumswapping.
