Jaded swingers Claire Wilbur and husband Gerald Grant are vacationing in Croatia, and after doing the morning shopping, Claire wants to seduce cute acquaintance Lynn Lowry, but she's interrupted by telephone repairman Carl Parker. The pair essay a softcore fuck while Lynn takes photos—a bit tame for a DVD that claims to be the "Never before released Uncensored, Uncut version."
You can tell it's 1972 when Lynn gets bent out of shape upon learning that hubby Casey Donovan has "turned on"—but it appears to make her more sexually adventurous (well, that and the joint she's smoking), so it's a good thing. In fact, everybody plays dress-up—a nun's habit for Claire—but the scene cuts to footage of the town before revealing anything sexual.
Turns out Claire and Gerald have a bet going that Claire can seduce one or both of their companions by the next day, and finally, after more than an hour into the movie, we see a bit of intercut hardcore girl/girl and boy/boy (!) action ... through a distorted camera lens, and much tamer than anything made today. (In an interview in the "extras," Lynn notes that both Casey and Gerald are gay in real life—and that after a dispute on the plane ride over, Claire didn't want Lynn to touch her at all.)
Finally, Carl stops by again, and he, Gerald, Claire and Lynn wind up naked on the living room floor, but again, there's no visible hardcore. The end.
Certainly, this is a "classic" by any definition, but compared to, say, Deep Throat, which came out the same year, Score counts more as an "alternative" movie than an early hardcore attempt.
