A former cheerleader born and raised in Ohio, Heather Starlet studied nursing before making the transition into adult in 2009 at the age of 19.
In September of that year, she signed an exclusive contract with Digital Playground and changed her name to Janie Summers. When the contract ran out, however, she parted ways with the studio and reverted to using her original stage name, under which she'd previously gained considerable notice for her work in a bevy of titles from Girlfriends Films, Immoral Productions, New Sensations and others. She'd made enough of an impression before going contract, in fact, to garner an AVN Best New Starlet nomination in the 2010 class.
In October 2010, Starlet decided to add anal and interracial to her on-screen repertoire. "I have been shooting porn for almost two years and felt it was time that I showed the fans my wild side," she said at the time.
Shortly thereafter, she received her very first award, Special Star of the Year, from CAVR (Cyberspace Adult Video Reviews).
