Originally released to theatres in 1975, this is by far the best of Toby Ross' early work. After keeping its distribution exclusive to mail order for 10 years, Bijou Video has finally released it for wholesale distribution. The poignant story of two brothers – one retarded, the other jealous of his mother's preference for her weaker son – still ranks high on the list of gay adult films every fan should see and has great historical importance.

The performances, script and camerawork are all first rate, as are the sex scenes. The uneven editing is somewhat distracting, as are the few times the sound is not synchronized with the lip movements. Technical problems aside, the video tells a classic story that few directors of today could even try to emulate. A must for stores pushing quality.
