An absolutely wonderful video retrospective exploring the soft-core, yet surprisingly erotic "beefcake" flicks of the 1950s and 1960s.

The Athletic Model Guild (AMG) was the premiere source of this material during that period, manifesting its product by way of some very entertaining 8-mm silent films. This series also proves to be a fascinating study of early censorship and the method used to work around it and still have fun. Posing straps and wrestling (or spanking, in some cases), substitute for full frontal nudity and actual sex acts, and the plots (yes, plots, and some very clever one at that!) always have the good guys winning out. Steve Malis, Marvin Jones and the rest of the gang at Campfire are to be congratulated for putting together this tribute to an era of male erotic long gone and sorely missed. "AMG: The Fantasy Factory," "AMG Revisited," and "AMG: A Third Visit" are all three are available through the mail and over the counter, and retailers, if you don't already stock them, you should! All three are a must for die-hard fans of male videos.
