Reviews

Assigned to direct Lust in the continuing All Worlds Video series of the seven deadly sins, stylish director Michael Zen comes up with a tale that links art and desire.

In a gallery of erotic paintings, Blake Harper is fascinated by various images, as every picture tells a story. (In the hottest, Michael Brandon fucks Tony Acosta every which way - even doing a headstand!) It's not a particularly original framing device, but Zen's unusual visual approach and sound design (especially his use of silence) makes it fresh.

Harper becomes obsessed with a portrait of Jason Branch, and to possess it he grudgingly gives his ass to gallery owner Logan Reed. (His initial unwillingness makes the scene all the hotter.) Who is the mysterious Branch? Why does he keep appearing, then vanishing into thin air? When Harper finally finds him, Branch is happily dominating a younger lover (Nick Young), and the heartbroken Harper can only look on and fantasize.

Viewers puzzled by Zen's enigmatic tale will enjoy multiple viewings, trying to figure it out.
