Ambitious and lengthy (clocking in at a touch under 2 1/2 hours!) effort from Stable Entertainment. Shot on location in Savannah, Georgia and in California, cute Dean Phoenix plays an ambitious and deceptive servant looking for a way into a better life. With the aid of his fuck-buddy Steve Cassidy, he finagles his way into rich boy Blake Harper's mansion, and eventually, into his bed - much to the chagrin of Harper's boyfriend Derek Cameron.
The videography is fine, worthy of a pre-nom, yet a little too panoramic. Pre-nom art direction: it's fantastic, great costumes and terrific locations. Also pre-nom worthy is Rock Hard's haunting music.
Soft-spoken Phoenix smirks and grins his way through the video - one never knows what he's thinking, which makes him dangerous. Pre-nom Best Actor.
The pace of the feature, however, drags. Mack trucks could be driven through the dramatic pauses and you never quite care for any of the characters. Tighter editing could have helped that - but the screenplay needed to be stronger to be able to encompass everything. Things are left unfinished and the element of danger is never really remedied - everything just... ends.
