Reviews

Conflict would have made a better title for director Paul Barresi’s latest skin flick, a lukewarm four-parter where ego is the catalyst for sex. Barresi has dreamt up a series of situations, each with characters itching to show just how tough they really are. So it’s a shame that none of the models can act as well as they fuck. If you can ignore the over-the-top mini-dramas that put the action in play, Contact works. The first vignette out of the gate is easily the most memorable. After pushing all the wrong buttons, Rick Powers is forced to endure the consequences, all served up deliciously by Josh West in the film’s standout performance. Also noteworthy is the black-on-white finale (Marc Williams versus Dominik Rider). Filmed in the boxing ring, the aggression gets decidedly more interesting after the gloves come off.
