Reviews

Between the flowery title, sweeping soundtrack and the odd opening sequence, you’d almost believe you were about to watch the film version of a little-known Lerner and Loewe musical. And while the story that ties the sex together isn’t likely to be set to music anytime soon, it’s actually somewhat engaging. All the unfortunate elements of classic porn are here — a soundtrack replete with pops and clicks, low-grade videography and voiceovers that never quite match up with the models’ moving lips. That said, however, the lean, mustached, mainly smooth models are beautifully shaped without any obvious effort on their part, and the sex they’re having comes off as genuine, not scripted. Director Francis Ellie also brings a unique style to erotic filmmaking, focusing on the plot in such a way that it adds rather than detracts from his film. With so much classic porn resurfacing, it can be tricky to know what makes for worthwhile viewing. Tomorrow is most definitely worth taking a risk on.
