Reviews

With 110 in Tucson, Joe Gage cements his status as one of the best directors ever. His ability to set a sexually combustible tone and create energy between his actors is simply unmatched, his attention to detail unparalleled. Each scene is a tinderbox ready to burst into flames.

More a series of situations than a story, radio deejay Pierce provides a narrative between scenes as he tries to lure Hunter to the station during his broadcast. One of the many strengths of all Gage features is the dialogue and delivery by the actors, and all shine here. Timing, glances, tone of voice? everything is done perfectly. Nowhere is that more apparent than with Quest (pre-nom Best Supporting Actor) who slowly breaks down employee Pearson's resistance in the most sensual dialogue exchange of the feature.

Of three hot threeways, security guard Majors taking advantage of drinking kids James and Riley is probably the hottest. But, then, there's Kennedy in bed getting fucked by intruder Taurus. When York opens the door and sees, he warns Taurus: "You just stepped into a whole world of trouble." The father and son turn the tables, and the glances between the two create an atmosphere that is both uneasy and hot at the same time. Will they or won't they?

Top it all off with a six-man scene highlighted by some monster squirts by Hunter and a double penetration, and this is a no-brainer for a Best Picture pre-nom. Also pre-noms Best Director, Editing, Music, and DVD Extras.
