Reviews

A five-part look at the history of AMG continues with this 1992 special. Steve Malis returns as host, introducing another solid set of shorts. "The Sailor and the B-Girl" is the most fun, with brothers Joe and Rock Spencer wrestling in the Explorer, which was a gay bar in Los Angeles. Also memorable is "The Nazi and the Paratrooper." Filmed ten years after World War II, it is a tad edgier for AMG, with themes of bondage and S/M. "Sleeping Beauty and the Beast" and "Angelic Frankenstein" are fun tales that further illustrate Bob Mizer's requirement that good always prevail in the end. The narration and historical information here don't have as much impact as in Part 1; it's more of a retelling as opposed to a continuation. A sad note at the end explains how Mizer passed away during the filming of this special, and a brief shot captures him lounging with his pets. Some bonus footage is interesting, especially Mizer's (behind-the-camera) interview with a model who explains how he hustles to make money, and has morality issues that make it difficult for him.
