Because director Max Julien got so much remarkable, sexy, hidden-camera footage of real guys having sex in a porn theater, he decided to make his brilliant 8 Inches a two-part movie. Although this weakened the storyline somewhat-halfway through Part 2, with the criminals apprehended, Julien essentially starts a new movie set in a jail-it has no effect on the quantity or quality of the sex.

When Part 2 begins, we observe detective Carlo Cox struggling with the homosexuality he's been able to suppress until taking on this case. He can't fuck his wife (Bel), so takes refuge on the sofa where memories bubble up. After finding an ID lost by a patron of the theater he's been staking out, Cox returns it to him and, though he declines at first, sticks around for sex. Cox-always an exciting lay anyway-seems extra passionate here, rimming, sucking, and fucking Aldo Ribas as if to make up for years of desire and denial. When he solves the case and theater-owner Ricardo Porto offers him the same sort of reward (in addition to his day rate), Cox plunges right in again. Ribas and Porto are not typical porn stars, which gives their scenes with Cox a feeling of reality and makes them even hotter.

With the case closed, director Julien jumps to the jail where Raul Dias, the owner of the eight-inch lure that enabled his partner to pick the pockets of the guys who were blowing him in the darkened theater, is incarcerated. Guard Paulo Machi decides to pimp Raul out to other prisoners and split the take with fellow guard Edmundo Castro. But first we get a solo by beautiful bodybuilder Luke who's lying naked on his cell bunk working his 'skinned meat. Few people lens solos as well as Julien, and Luke's, as you would expect, is superbly video'd.

After Dias bones Ivan De Morais and Flavio Britto (whose perfect buns cradle Dias' hard-on as it spits), we see jailbirds Antony Gimenez and Nicolas Nerva fucking in their cell-Machi and Castro see it too thanks to a surveillance camera that monitors activity in the cells. Watching all this sex gets both guards hot and soon their supermuscled bods are bursting out of their tight, tight uniforms. Julien fave Castro bottoms once again in this hot, excellently lensed scene. Highlights include a giant close-up of Machi's hard-on aimed right at your mouth.

Part 2 uses some of Julien's riveting hidden-camera footage in the first half, but most of this movie's sex is performed by its principal actors. The DVD Extras include, in the Outtakes section, a spontaneous sex scene between Cox and Ribas that Julien and his camera were, happily, in the room for.
