Superb video quality is the one saving grace for this extremely convoluted Italian love story. The masterful tape-to-DVD transfer, which combines an amazingly clean picture with crystal-clear sound, almost makes up for the film's short, uh, cummings in the content department. Extra DVD goodies include a photo gallery with all the stars in their favorite positions, chapter stops that allow viewers to easily access their favorite scenes, a very brief cast biography and trailers highlighting Inferno's new releases.

The terrific, high-quality resolution and the fact that Dario De Concini is serious Italian eye candy could be enough to make this DVD quite popular, despite its other faults. (Video title reviewed in Jan. '98 issue.)
